Kim Kardashian’s plans to divorce Kris Humphries after just 72 days of marriage may have left fans stunned, but production of her wedding dress replicas is still moving full speed ahead.

Vera Wang told E! News in September that two of the three gowns she designed for the newlywed's August 20 wedding would be recreated for her David's Bridal White by Vera Wang collection that hits stores in January 2012.
Kardashian's tulle gown and mermaid dress are slated to roll into David's Bridal locations a month later in February 2012 for around $1,500 each.

The question is, will brides who were anticipating the gowns' arrival still want to get decked out in creations that are tied to a short-lived marriage that ended in divorce?
"When [the dress] was going to be sold, it had to do with the fairytale wedding of Kim Kardashian. And it was a fairytale -- over 4 million people tuned into both parts when E! aired it [on October 9 and 10]. So there's real legitimate interest in this, but will it carry over to the sales of the wedding dresses?" The Wall Street Journal's Elva Ramirez says in a report.
Meanwhile, a source tells Us Weekly, "The gowns were 'inspired' by Vera's designs for Kim. They will still sell as they are beautiful gowns regardless of what's happened."
